Lunch was from the Farmer’s Market in New Ferry.
Three small pieces of lamb cooked in olive oil until well browned. I then added two chopped cloves of garlic and the juice of half a lemon.
The rest of the family ate goats cheese, potato and red onion pasties.
We all ate chunks of good bread spread with a walnut and red pepper paste.
There was a new beer in the market made by Denbigh Brewery and I had a bottle of their John the Thumbs with my lamb.
We ate outside and for the first time this year I thought that maybe I should have tempted fate and bought a large umbrella to go over the table.
